Carl Rohrs Lecture: Scripts & Script Typefaces & Back Again

Script typefaces can start at calligraphy, a quick sketch or a dashed-off handwritten note. Let’s look at some scripts’ beginnings. Once it becomes a face, it that the end of its creative trail? Can’t it still inspire more handwork? There are calligraphers, sign writers and lettering artists who think it can.
